This project will be used to document the flora and fauna found in Woody Hollow. Woody Hollow is an eight acre preserve that provides a buffer between a larger tract of the Balcones Canyonlands Preserve (BCP) and the Jester Estates subdivision in Austin, Texas. The BCP was created to preserve habitat for the endangered Golden-cheeked Warbler, Black-capped Vireo, and several cave invertebrates. Woody Hollow is protected by a conservation easement held by Travis County Natural Resources as part of the BCP system.

The habitat includes an oak - juniper woodland on either side of a canyon with a seasonal creek and a small meadow.

The project is intended to be a repository of our personal observations as the property owners, but may be opened up to include the sighting of others in the future. less ↑
