This project aims to collect observations of organisms (whole or specific organs) which appear in our (and our pet's) foods and drinking.
To add observations, please make sure that they meet these criteria:
- the organisms are not the targets of feeding (e.g. pigeons which are fed by our leftovers).
- the organisms are not intentionally placed in foods/drinking by anyone.
- pet and livestock's foods/drinking are included as habitat foods (e.g. ants in cat's food).
- predating, scavenging, temporary/brief visits are included (e.g. fly landing on salad bowl before flying away).
- foods/drinking don't originally have those organisms as their ingredient (e.g. fried fish, meat (domestic cow) in steak dish).
- foods/drinking don't have to be edible only at the observed state. Raw materials/ingredients, partially cooked food, and food leftovers are included (e.g. grain weevil in raw rice, caterpillar in remaining tomato, bee in preserved honey).
