Rewilding my yard is being undertaken in order to count and increase the biodiversity supported on a 2.5 acre hemlock, oak and stream-side habitat. In this series of species counts I am adding the soil as a microhabitat. Digging up soil or exploring under rocks or other natural objects to reveal soil biota nestled in soil tunnels or on soil is fair game.
