Hawaii NELHA Deep Sea
The NELHA deep sea program is wrapping up for the Summer. I won't be observing anytime soon, but in August another group of students will. This project will stay up in case a new group decides to upload their finds. Mahalo to the identifiers who contributed and passed on their knowledge to others.
This project showcases life that comes up through the NELHA/OTEC 55-inch deep sea water pipe. This large pipe goes right off of the Wawaloli beach until reaching an intake point 915m underwater. Everything that reaches the pump station either came from the intake point directly, or broke off from some point within the pipe.
