Pillar 1 is assumed at this stage to be leucaloa eugraphica.

April 26 2020 Ten pillars with similar pattern but different sizes were found in a garden within 1.5m of each other feeding on five different plants, only one of which was not exotic in Gaborone.

a) One was found on a fully destroyed stem of a commelina which had previously had blue flowers. It is assumed to be Commelina benhalensis, which grows elsewhere in the garden as a weed.

b) One was found on a cultivated garden plant

small aloe sp

Commelina unidentified but had blue flowers before a pillar was found on it .

One pillar made a 'cocoon' for itself for protection while it shed its skin. This lasted about 16-20 hours.
