This project will allow naturalists to contribute to Montana's statewide databases for observations of plants and animals. Observations of any organism identifiable to species will be incorporated into Montana Natural Heritage Program (MTNHP) databases to improve knowledge of the distribution, abundance, habitat preferences, and natural history for all species in Montana. These data will be available to all users of MTNHP resources (partner organizations and the general public).
The Montana Natural Heritage Program is the state’s source for reliable, objective information and expertise to support stewardship of our native species and habitats, emphasizing those of conservation concern. Please see our website for more information:
http://mtnhp.org
Additionally, see our Montana Field Guides for helpful information about Montana's biodiversity. http://fieldguide.mt.gov
These guides provide information on the identification, distribution, status, and ecology of Montana's animals, plants, lichens, and biological communities.
