This species has a wide range in Indonesia. It has been recorded on Java and Bali (Das 2010, Oliver et al. 2012).

This species was not found to be rare during recent fieldwork within its current range (P. Oliver. pers. coms. 2014). 

This species is nocturnal, arboreal and inhabits lowland rainforest.  

There is no trade or use information for this species.

It is unlikely that any major threats are impacting this species. 

There are no known species-specific conservation measures in place for this species.

Cyrtodactylus mimikanus has been assessed as Data Deficient due to its restricted known range in Indonesian New Guinea. It is not affected by any major threats and further surveys are likely to extend its distributional range. Further research on this species taxonomy, population status and habitats is required before an assessment can be made.
