North Cascades National Park Complex is a large park that protects low elevation forests, mountain lakes, alpine meadows, and glaciers. This The rugged topography and diverse climatic conditions provide habitats that are home to thousands of species. But many species many not be able to adapt or move to new habitats quickly enough to survive in our rapidly changing climate.
Come help us discover and inventory the species that live in the North Cascades today so that we can understand how biodiversity is changing and improve and adapt park management to these new conditions.
We are hosting a Summer BioBlitz in all 3 National Park areas that we protect: North Cascades National Park, Ross Lake National Recreation Area, and Lake Chelan National Recreation Area.
Come join volunteers and scientists to find, identify, and photograph as many species as possible.
