Many flies and small wasps have iridescence visible on their transparent wings which have been overlooked by researchers in the past. However, a recent study has discovered that species may be separable with these hidden details.
This project is to make a collection of images that show the iridescent nature of some insects clear wings.
When submitting observations, they must
- Be in Winged and Once-Winged Insects (Subclass Pterygota)
- Must have wings that are showing a hint of iridescence
- Must have photographic evidence
