Finis! Thank you all!

We are now finished uploading photos for this project this year. I am so grateful for all the identifiers and other people who helped along the way. It was a great experience, and I’m ready to do it all over again. There is more to do still on this project. For instance, we will be uploading photos to BugGuide from this survey to try to identify more species. Especially, the nocturnal studies need more work. Also, I’m hoping, in future, we may do a study on plants at the Old Plank Road Trail here in Matteson. I loved doing the insects, though, so hopefully I’ll be working with you all again. Thanks again!
Patrick Coffey, Matteson, IL.

About

This project is a very general attempt to see what pollinators are existing in the Old Plank Road Trail-Matteson (IL) prairie remnants, and which pollinators, if any, are remnant-dependent. It is also a very general attempt to quantify how many pollinator species we have on the prairie and which generalist species readily feed into the prairies from the surrounding landscape.
