I found 69 newt carcasses on the road today.

Other roadkill: A frog and a Jerusalem Cricket.

Coverage: (~51%) Vulcan quarry to Soda Springs Canyon plus spot-checked a few other locations.

Rainfall: (MTD: 5.0 in; YTD: 24.16 in) It rained this morning. Overnight low temp was 56.4 F.

Traffic: There were a handful of cars and pickups. Road maintenance crews clearing rock and mudslides.
