Occurs in the Chagres province of Panama. It was collected on Cerro Brewster, in the western part of the Comarca Guna Yala, at 700-900 m asl.

Known from a single specimen collected in 1985 during surveys in the Reserva Kuna Yala, and specifically at Cerro Brewster.

The species was collected in premontane forest
