Personal Bioblitz 2024
REMINDER - Please do not include captive and cultivated organisms in the Personal Bioblitz project
Hi everyone -
any plant that has been planted by a human, or pet kept by a human, are not considered wild or naturalized species, which is what we want in the Personal Bioblitz project. These will be marked captive/cultivated or 'not wild' and should be REMOVED from our project.
If you have observations like this, please remove them now (or we will remove them later). Focus on getting wild things uploaded. This can be weeds and insects in a garden, but not your potted geranium or the shrub with mulch all around it outside your neighbor's house.
Thank you all for fixing this (and usually this is a misunderstanding of the rules, not that you broke the rules on purpose, we know this.
If you have self-seeded and naturalized plants (or other rewilded organisms) please mark this in the description so we know that they are not planted. iNaturalist itself will mark some species as not wild, and if you disagree with this (and have noted this in the ...more ↓
