Habitat

This species was described based on a museum specimen, and there is no data on its ecology. The type locality is characterized by semiarid scrub and broken xerophytic woodland (Wallach et al. 2010). Annual precipitation in this area is around 100-600 mm, and average temperatures are 15-30º C. The holotype contained 35 eggs in various stages of development, indicating that reproduction is oviparous and clutch size is large (Wallach et al. 2010).
