The migration route of Ruby-throated Hummingbirds is not well understood. I participated in a citizen science project to band ruby-throats in Costa Rica this fall and we talked about a lack of documentation about sightings in Central America. The purpose of this project is two-fold: 1) Collect data about sightings of Ruby-throated Hummingbirds in Central America and 2) Make citizen scientist in Central America aware that there is an interest in better understanding this species.
