Taxonomic notes: Section empty

This species is found in the Mingan Mountains on Luzon Island, Philippines, at elevations ranging from 300 to 1675 m a.s.l. It may also occur in the southern Sierra Madre range.

Common throughout its range, and the most abundant species at higher elevations in its range.

It is found in a variety of tropical forest types, ranging from lowland dipterocarp forest to old-growth mossy forest.

It is nocturnal and terrestrial, consuming invertebrates and possibly seeds.

There are no current threats to this species’ habitat. However, large areas of forest in the Mingan Mountains below than this species’ elevational distribution have been converted for agriculture and residential purposes.

This species does not occur in any protected areas.
