Geographic Range

This species is found in the Mingan Mountains on Luzon Island, Philippines, at elevations ranging from 300 to 1675 m a.s.l. It may also occur in the southern Sierra Madre range.

Common throughout its range, and the most abundant species at higher elevations in its range.

Habitat

It is found in a variety of tropical forest types, ranging from lowland dipterocarp forest to old-growth mossy forest.

It is nocturnal and terrestrial, consuming invertebrates and possibly seeds.
