Taxonomic notes: Section empty
This species is known from a single locality in the Selous Game Reserve, Tanzania, below 600 m a.s.l. It could potentially be found in other southern Tanzanian coastal forest fragments.
While the current known distribution of this species falls inside the Selous Game Reserve and is not threatened, it is likely that this species is found in other coastal forest fragments which are under pressure. Threats to the coastal forest include deforestation, agricultural activities, and the exploitation of natural resources, including harvesting wood and fruits. Additionally, the fragmented nature of the remaining forest may pose a challenge for this species’ long-term survival.
