Beginnings
I think this project might best be used to explain about biology, shell structure and as a place for interesting information.
I am using the opportunity to learn more.

Looks great. Would you mind if I joined the project just to follow some of your shell posts? I find the reading interesting even though I have no background with shells.
Also interesting is your choice of camera. You get great quality photos. I actually use the same camera for all my close-up shots of insects, spiders etc. It does a great job if you can get adequate light.
