Plants- Emily O, Keira, Caylin, Emily D- 11/1/18

Today we went through half of the YMCA trail that is close to Islands High School. there were many different plant species that we wouldn't have otherwise seen, because they were water plants. Today's temperature was 65 degrees fahrenheit with around 80% humidity. We went outside at 7:50am and came back at 8:45am.

Inverts (exo): Kiersten, Breonna, Penelope, and Ivy; November 1, 2018

Today, we observed species at the Y- trail. The weather was partly cloudy and the temperature is 64 degrees fahrenheit. The insects we found were a cicada bug and lichen bugs. The cicada bug was found in a tree and the lichin bug was found in moss.

Vertebrates: Kamyrn, Brittney, Julia, and Kylie

On November 1st, 2018, the Y trail was 62 degrees fahrenheit with a 98% humidity level. We found an unidentified toad in one of the ponds around the trail and a domestic dog that a woman was playing with.

October 30, 2018

Vertebrates with exoskeleton : Ivy L. Penelope C. Breonna H. Kiersten S.( absent)

Today, two species were found, a cricket and a beetle. The cricket was found near the side of the building close to the start of the Y trail of YMCA. The beetle was also found near the Y trail closer to the gate. It was sunny as the temperature was 50 degrees fahrenheit with a 78% humidity.

Fungi group: Kailin D. Alex V. Margaret K. Lauren P. Oct 30th, 2018.

Today we explored behind the school, the football field and in the areas around the field as well. The temperature was fifty-five degrees fahrenheit and the humidity was seventy-eight percent. We found seven mushrooms, most were found in damp areas and around the areas filled with trees.

(Vertebrates): Kylie, Kamryn, Julia, Brittany. 10/30

Today October 30, 2018 we saw some bluebirds on the fence in the back of the baseball field, we saw a group of crows on the bleachers, and a heron flying over the football field. It was 51 degrees fahrenheit and 77% humidity. It was clear skies and the ground was wet.

Plants Group: Keira Ketchup, Emily O'dell, Emily Dickerson, Caylin October 30, 2018

We went out there from 7;45 to 8:30, and the temperture was 51 degrees and the humidity was 79%. We saw 11 different types of plants. Outside was damp than the last time we went out. We were around the football field and near the parking lot.

October 25, 2018

Vertebrates: Julia O, Kamryn C, Kylie S, Brittney A

Today on October 25, 2018 we saw a large bird fly overhead near the greenhouse, we saw a small bird on a lamp post in the front of the school, and some people working on the sign in the front of the school. It was 59 degrees fahrenheit (15 degrees Celcius) and 71% humidity outside. It was partly cloudy with a slight breeze.

Kiersten S, Breonna H, Ivy L, Penelope C.(Vertebrate Exo.) October 25, 2018

Today, we had found five different species of insects. These included Mud Dauber Wasp, Cellar Spiders, and Acanthocephala. We also found multiple ants, and spider burrows, of whom specific species were not identified. The temperature was 59 degrees fahrenheit, with humidity of 68% degrees, and it was partly cloudy. The majority of our observations were made near the police station, the door outside the science hall, and the outside the english hall.

Plants Group: Keira Ketchup, Emily O'dell, Emily Dickerson October 25, 2018

The temperature outside was 58 degrees F, and the humidity was 71%. We saw 14 different types of species. It was located near the library, green house and in front of the school. There was a lot of different types of trees that we haven't noticed before on campus.
