A request to all of you who are using this resource to build our knowledge of Groton's spectacular biodiversity. I am working to understand how climate change affects pollination networks in this area. At the most basic level, I would like to look carefully at "phenology" or the timing of nature. Happily, there is an option on iNaturalist to record this for many groups. If you take a picture of a plant and it is flowering, would you please note this by checking the box under the "phenology" heading? Note that there are many options for many other groups, all of which provide important data.

Thank you for all that you are doing. We are creating a database that will prove important to understanding the ecology of our open spaces, something critical to managing them to maintain or perhaps even to increase Groton's biodiversity.

Many people are reporting that the fall flowers are appearing earlier this year. Please post pictures of wild flowers as you come across them in the fields and meadows; let's see if we can map these and look for changes in patterns in our area.
