Welcome to the Challenge

Dear Scientists and Field Observers,

Thank you for joining us in our pursuit of precision ecology at Yellowstone National Park!

With this project, we are seeking your pictures of ungulates (hooved animals) and carnivores (animals who eat meat) that can be seen from the roads and paths around Yellowstone. By providing these pictures, you will help us develop software that can count, track and identify animals in the park.

How will we know we succeeded? When we can identify specific individuals repeatedly through the park.
