Intentional deviation. Vulcanoctopus is traditionally monospecific. Its sole child taxon (V. hydrothermalis) was moved to Muusoctopus and this is reflected in WoRMS. The correct reflection of the cited literature would be to synonymize Vulcanoctopus with Muusoctopus, as done here on iNaturalist. WoRMS' retention of Vulcanoctopus as a valid genus is likely in error.
