I work with students at Washington & Jefferson College to do outreach projects at nearby K-12 schools. We like to help students increase their awareness of the beauty and biodiversity in their own backyards. We call this project Connecting 2 Nature through Photography. Students often do not have the time to identify the organisms in the field. iNaturalist provides a great mechanism for students to return to the photos and compare their observations and identifications with the global community of naturalists.
