The Southwest Monarch Study monitors monarch breeding and migration in Arizona, New Mexico, Utah, Nevada, western Colorado and the eastern deserts of California. Our goals include identifying milkweed and looking for monarch eggs, larvae and pupae as well as adult monarchs in the region. We are a Citizen Science project learning more about monarch butterflies in the Southwest!
