I'm a photographer, including a wide variety of subjects. I've always loved the natural world. Thru my photography I've begun to appreciate even more the beauty of natural things; thru a photographer's eye you tend to examine and 'see' things differently. I remember seeing others' photos that had only a photo -- wonderful to look at, BUT nothing information-wise. I want to know what I'm seeing, to learn something new about this incredible world. For me It's important to include at least a descriptive caption and information about each photo. It takes more time, but I've had viewers comment on the 'info' I include. However, identifying plants, trees, flowers, etc. has been difficult and time-consuming. I found this website while researching a certain native Hawaiian plant; and I immediately saw how inaturalist is worth signing-up for. And if I can contribute photos, even better!
