I am a scientist, educator, foodie and lover of all things NATURE! After many years living and working in some of the most remote and exciting outdoor environments, I have landed in the great concrete jungle of Kansas City, Missouri! I am learning to reconnect with the urban environment. Tho' there are not mountains or mountain lions in my backyard, I have discovered fire flies and cicadas! As a teacher of high school science, I have three simple goals for my students: get outside, get curious, and get adventurous.
