I'm a retired ecologist and conservation scientist, having worked for the Nature Conservancy in California for 27 years. I'm an expert in grassland grazing and fire ecology. However, my current interest is sailing. My sailboat, Mandolina, has been in the Sea of Cortez and the Pacific coast of Mexico for the past several years. I'm interested in citizen science and am currently working on setting up a data base of sea turtle observations made by yachts visiting the region.
