Rain in Valley Center, CA
Today, Friday January 20, 2017, 8:24am, it has been raining steadily since early morning hours. Intermittent heavy showers and light sprinkles. 100% cloud cover. A few birds have come out to feast on the bird seed I scattered in the yard. The White Crowned Sparrows, a Spotted Towhee and a Song Sparrow. I heard the WCSP songs this morning and watched as several (5-10) ran and jumped through the yard, nearly bumping into each other like bumper cars. The SPTO also joined the fun and "bumped" into a WCSP who flew up and over a shrub. The rain seemed not to detour their exuberance and energy.
