Finally got a good look at these! They were all over the place and in constant rapid motion despite the water often being less deep than the fish themselves. Males patrolling and chasing off other males, males chasing after females, wiggly spawning pairs, and females semi-beaching themselves at the ends of mini-tributaries to get a minute's peace.
