Willow Oak
A huge branch from this Oak "unexpectedly" dropped off. Fortunately the Arboretum is closed after the March 2015 fire, and the tables outside the Listers Restaurant were unoccupied when the branch smashed them.
Half the tree was already dead: whether this fungus is the cause of death or merely a consumer of the dead wood is unknown.
