With small fish
With 2 ornithologists whose names have been lost. One of only two remaining breeding colonies in Florida -- and the larger of the two. A male (blue cere) feeding his daughter (barred forehead, pink cere).

A "dump" of my best image of every non-captive bird species (and occasionally subspecies) that I have photographed or audio-recorded in Florida, taken from my Facebook album.
These are the final 13 species with their English name beginning with "B."
Only known location for this species in Maryland at this time. Interestingly, location is close to previous nesting attempt locations. Building a nest on a power line stanchion at the power line cut on Mt Pleasant Road. Not established in the state yet, so active monitoring is ideal.

Frequent but scarce winter resident on the island.
I have always loved red factor pigeons.
I had never seen a clawed frog larger than a couple inches. This monster was approaching 6 inches. I suspected it was a clawed frog at the time, but I really didn't know because of the size. In hindsight, I probably should have brought it home to live in an aquarium. It may have grown so large by feeding on the other amphibians in this playa.

Tonle Sap
This is the 15 foot, 1700 lb female Great White that was trapped in the West Gutter of Naushon in 2004. The shark was stranded in the creek for more than two weeks and was a national story.
