I'm assuming this is a weird color mutation on an American Robin??? The back and wings were a very light gray and the chest and front were a very light buffy/peachy color; white eye-ring; & the tail was a light chestnut color. It landed on the telephone wire, flew down to the ground, and was foraging like a Robin. I didn't want to label it American Robin first...

Silvas with me, and I shouted "melanistic Cooper's Hawk, OMG" as I identified the bird preliminarily, before submitting it to experts for review.

I went to dig up my errant Snowdrops out of my ditch weed pile (baby bulbs sneaked in there). I bent over and almost had a Woodcock explode up my nose! Gee, her camouflage is exquisite! She sits on 4 eggs. I sneaked back a couple days later with my super-zoom camera (sorry just a bit blurry, handheld, no tripod!) My favorite little woodland bird. I love that she nested by flowers ❤️
