I've never seen this behavior before. I thought it was a turtle at first glance. It stayed in this position until I had completely passed by, them emerged an flew toward the clutch observed nearby.

Family Bovidae - bovids
Subfamily Antelopinae - antelopes, goats, sheep
In southern Africa, these water-loving antelopes are mostly restricted to the Okavango and Chobe rivers. There are lots of crocs around here. Although Lechwes are always near water, it appears that they don't waste any time in the water. As soon as they reached the opposite side, they relaxed, as seen for the animals in the background. The light was harsh when we saw this group storm across the river, even so, it is easy to see the characteristic shape, with the hindquarters higher than the shoulders. They also lack the black stripe on the rump of the otherwise similar (at least to me) Impala.

Waiparuru Nature Trail, Grafton Gully/Symonds St Cemetery, Grafton, Auckland. Two live male beetles resting by day on the lower surface of different leaves on a mahoe tree, in a shaded native bush remnant. Although this is the first time that I have observed this species at this location, that is probably only because I have overlooked it until now.

Might be wishful thinking narrowing down to genus. I did my best to get clear images from every perspective I could. 2.5 meters deep, Likely close to 2.5 cm in length. This was one of the most difficult things I've ever photographed underwater. It was so fast and unpredictable, held many positions in the water column.

This was a wild scene! Three small gray squirrels were VERY aggravated by this large land crab. When I encountered them, three squirrels were around the crab in crouched, aggressive positions with tails curled and flicking. They would take turns getting close but never quite making contact. Eventually they moved the crab to the driveway where one squirrel remained aggressively following it.

This was observed falling from the canopy in a slow circular motion (about a 1 meter diameter circle). The two halves in the picture here connected together until it landed. We were told by a Waorani that it was a parasite, but don't think so.

Found today at Ulistac, not a clue what it is. Found right beside what appears to be fox scat. Dissected it and inside is what appears to be a green moss-like substance...
I'm at a loss.
Is this animal waste? Some weird fungus?
Seemed to be a shell around the outside, almost like a cocoon.
- After looking at this a long time I'm thinking it's an organ of some kind- the stomach of a squirrel or some other small mammal perhaps?
