This coyote was not at all shy. We were among some 6-10 travelers watching the fat elephant seals on the beach. The coyote slowly ambled up from the beach and passed us within 10 yards or so. Surprisingly, there was no indication that Mr. C. was trying to panhandle.

This guy (or gal) was hanging around the Bobcat Trail when we drove by to go work at the Gerbode Valley burn site. As we drove by, we saw the carcass of a third- a sibling? The mother? It looked pretty fresh, just the head and part of the spine, but the head looked like a living coyote. They were all gone, the live ones and the carcass, when we came by on our way home. Presumably whatever (a cougar?) had killed the one collected the rest of the body.

We were walking around Rodeo Lagoon and my fiancé saw orange/orange behind a couple trees. He(?) proceeded to stay back and caught a mole which he played around with. He did approach cars briefly, and fortunately everyone stopped and then he ran off behind the buildings and we did not see him again. At this time, I did not know about hazing and am so glad I have learned!
Shot with 400mm tele lens and cropped.
