albino
Continuing odd Red-winged Blackbird. Outwardly male, but lower breast is very female-like. Lots of leucism mainly in tail and vent area but also leggings and odd patches such as a slight bit along the edge of the wing "shoulder". See https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/144558985 for earlier observations.
whose child is this??
Fledging?
I drew this after I missed a picture of this duck that flew onto the creek, and immediately flew away. I didn't catch the colours of this duck, but from what I saw with its accompanying duck that was brown, this must have been the male. Probably the most identifying this that I saw was the back of the head. I hope with this description and drawing we can get this duck identified.
Almost piebald, yellow spot beside eye
The fledgling and several insects were impaled on barbed wire in a cow pasture and close to a hickory tree. A pair of shrike was observed visiting an active nest 20’ up in the tree.
Green Heron with leucism/albinism.
This was a first...my son picked up a snake and it was eating a smooth green snake.
