Found resting on the upper-side of an oak leaf. It was a young oak only about a foot or so away from a rural road. Incredibly long, slightly blue antennae. Not camera shy, and only flew a few inches away when disturbed. The roadside was mowed, but there were a lot of virginia creeper and poison ivy patches that had taken over the space.

I was beat-sampling rhododendron when I got this cat. I can't swear there wasn't a wayward hawthorn branch in there, but the sample was overwhelmingly rhododendron. But I'm pretty sure this cat is C crataegi.....
Update 6/16. I went back to this site again and found a small hawthorn sapling right about where this sample was taken, so I either beat the hawthorn by mistake or it had moved to a nearby rhododendron. In either case I am changing the host to hawthorn.
