Stalks and cups with short white hairs; cups 1-1.5 mm, white or light brown, the edge folds up, often into a triangle. Stalk a little brighter than cup.
Ascospores: Fusiform, length 5.2-7.4 (6.4 µm), width 1.7-2.0 (1.8 µm), light inclusion at the thick end. Asci: 40 x 3-3.5 µm, 8 spores. Paraphyses: Narrow lanceolate up to 10 µm over the asci, with Lugol yellow droplets converging in the middle of the cells. The hairs are cylindrical, granulated, less than 60 µm in length, 3-3.5 µm in diameter.
