Surprised to see this juvenile bird flying over I-10 between Phoenix and Tucson. Rapidly pulled into the rest stop to grab a few shots. It was heading south and seemed to be following the interstate. We first spotted it north of the rest stop, then flying over the rest stop, and finally we caught up with it again further south as we drove from the rest stop. Very excited by this encounter. We notified local AZ birders to keep a look out and are still waiting to find out if anyone else spotted this bird further south.
