Early instar, probably 1st. Located this individual due to the tell-tale leaf perch with created obstacle. Saw an adult red spotted purple hanging around this tree last week. This tree frequently hosts red spotted purple larvae.
On apple.
Several hibernaculum (presumably red-spotted purple) were also observed on the tree.
