Freshly preserved specimen imaged with flatbed scanner. Note: I am using the name superciliosus for this species as a placeholder. The epigynum is a very close match for the original illustration of that species. Males resemble H. amicus or one of its synonyms, but there are differences from amicus as described by Griswold. Whatever this species is (I don't think it is really amicus) it is fairly common in the western counties of the Columbia Basin. This specimen was beaten from sagebrush. In Burke Museum collection.

Found 3 together on dead leaf in a Bush. Jumping spider is very quick and not as shy as other spiders.
Extremely vibrant color with 4 large eyes in front and 2 on back of head unlike other spiders I have seen.
