Description

Mysterious vine growing in the cavity of a maple. No flowers or fruits to aid in ID.

Update: Identified as Actinidia arguta by Lisa Riederer; see Flora of China. Pith is chambered. Petioles are long, longer than 3.5 cm and nearing 10 cm as is characteristic of A. arguta. Potentially invasive, reported to NHIC.
