Description
This observation and images belong to Donald Buden, College of Micronesia, Pohnpei, FSM.
This small paper wasp is Ropalidia marginata. It is very common in the Mariana Islands, where it is locally referred to as one of two species of "boonie bees". This observation indicates a range extension into Mejit Island. Previously recorded in the Marshall Isands on Kwajalein Atoll (Sugarman 1972).
