Description

Not the small painted turtle, but what the painted turtle is standing on, which looks like a rock, but is the carapace of a large Snapping Turtle. The photos clearly show the joints between the scutes on the carapace, also that the amount of carapace showing above the waterline varies in the photos, and the snapping turtle's head is showing in some photos but not showing in others. At one point there were two painted turtles on the carapace. In one of the photos a red-eared slider turtle was nosing around looking to get aboard.
