MDD moves Strigocuscus pelengensis to Phalanger, following Meredith et al. 2009. Any thoughts for or against iNat making this change? The support for the node placing it sister to Phalanger isn't 100%, but it's also pretty clearly not sister to S. celebensis in this analysis.

@edmolhe you've missed the point of the flag -- our mammal taxonomy is frameworked to MDD, which does not use Strigocuscus. In theory, we should be using the same name as MDD, I just want to check if other users support this change.

I reviewed the article before I posted the answer, I found an enormous number of articles (even recent e. g. Martin et al 2019 ) and databases using as official name the genus Strigocuscus. For that reason, I posted my answer.
