Interesting.

POWO cites Flora of Australia, Vol. 3, which spells it as photinophylla (Dendrocnide photinophylla (Kunth) Chew, Gard. Bull. Singapore 21: 205 (1965)) which APNI lists as an orthographical variant of photiniphylla

The QLD Plant Census, APC (CHAH 2005) and APNI use photiniphylla (https://bie.ala.org.au/species/https://id.biodiversity.org.au/node/apni/2898208#names)

Also https://www.gbif.org/species/4098637

I can't find the spelling "photiniiphylla" anywhere except POWO. I wonder if it's a typo on their end? Edit: except for the first label on the Kew specimen sheet the newest two labels look, to me, to have just one 'i'

Fair enough. Would you like to let them know about their mistranscription. It looks to me like someone dotted the first i above the n, instead of above the first i.

I've added a note to the merge.

Yes, that what it looks like to me as well.

I'll send them an email now

POWO responded and the name on POWO is correct based on Art. 60.10 of the ICN (i.e. although originally published as "photiniphylla" POWO has corrected it to "photiniiphylla" based on the ICN).

So, the merge looks good to go
