This is uncontroversial, in case anyone was wondering. Essentially all of the main Syrphid workers are included in this paper.
@loarie is there a way to do this without having a big impact on iNat's system? Unwanted parent disagreements will be abundant.
looks good - can you link to this flag (https://www.inaturalist.org/flags/596994) from the taxon change description?
There will be a re-indexing load mainly from updating the ancestries of the ~60k obs within Genus Toxomerus. But thats ok, if you could commit this during the North American night that would be helpful
I don't think I understand 'unwanted parent disagreements'. Don't those only happen when a taxon is split/thinned/narrowed, bot not when a taxon is lumped/broadened? ie any ID of the "narrower" Syrphini will still be relevant once its "broadened" by having Paragini Toxomerini added to it

"Thus, we define the tribe Syrphini stat.rev. to include the species of Toxomerus and Paragus, and consider Toxomerini and Paragini no longer valid tribes."
