alternatively, the creator of the taxon could just replace the x with × - and likewise "australis greyi" should be replaced with Gallirallus australis greyi
it does seem pretty clear that the cross symbol and not an X should be used. is there any other input on this?
I found the old swap. It was done in error.
(includes x rather than ×, but last time I tried to swap it to × it was swapped back to x, so I'll let someone else take care of it)
