Unfortunately every mile west of the Appalachians my knowledge becomes sparser and sparser; I'm not really sure.
Southern Illinois is longicauda according to ASW (https://amphibiansoftheworld.amnh.org/Amphibia/Caudata/Plethodontidae/Hemidactyliinae/Eurycea/Eurycea-longicauda), though western Illinois is melanopleura apparently.
