Soergel's Ox †

Soergelia minor

Summary 3

The steppe goat (Soergelia minor) is a very rare element in European faunas. The steppe goat Soergelia elisabethae was about the size of a small cow, surpassing all other goats in size. Soergelia minor is, as the name implies, somewhat smaller than Soergelia elisabethae. Soergelia had short, thick, outward and slightly down and forward curving horns.
