"Body is translucent gray with oval tan spots and tiny scattered white spots. Rhinophores smooth and long with scattered white and tan spots, sometimes with a red band near the tip. The dark digestive gland often visibly crosses the dorsum. Cerata have a definite hourglass shape and make the animal appear spiky. Top half of cerata frosted in whitish-yellow spots and with a yellow subapical ring near the tip." - Behrens et al, 2022, p. 133
